Field Visit to Kudhupusingi: Monitoring Recharge Area Plantation and Geo-Tagging Support to Farmers
Today, I visited Kudhupusingi village to monitor the progress of the recharge area plantation under the Spring-Shed Project. The visit aimed to ensure that plantation activities are proceeding as planned and to provide guidance to the farmers for better implementation.
During the visit, I interacted with individual farmers and provided awareness and technical support on geo-tagging of fruit-bearing plants. Geo-tagging helps in tracking plant growth and survival in the long term and ensures transparency in plantation efforts.
I am happy to report that a total of 1,500 saplings have been successfully planted during this phase of the plantation drive. The active participation of farmers and the community shows their commitment to environmental conservation and spring revival.
