Introduction:
On November 30, 2023, under the guidance of the Visakha Jilla Nava Nirmana Samiti Narsipatnam, a crucial water testing initiative took place in Kojjiriguda village, situated in the Munchangiputtu mandal of Bungaputtu Panchayat. This initiative aimed to assess and monitor the water quality in the region.
Testing Procedures:
As part of this comprehensive program, the dedicated team conducted a series of seven essential water quality tests to evaluate various parameters. The sequential tests included:
1. pH Test
2. Turbidity Test
3. Chloride Test
4. Fluoride Test
5. Iron Test
6. Hardness Test
7. Nitrate Test
Each test played a crucial role in providing insights into different aspects of water quality.
Test Results:
The diligent efforts of the testing team resulted in the recording of precise and valuable data. The recorded results for each test are as follows:
1. pH – 6.0
2. Turbidity – 5 NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Units)
3. Chloride – 42.54 mg/l
4. Fluoride – 1.0 mg/l
5. Iron – 0.3 mg/l
6. Hardness – 40 mg/l
7. Nitrate – Nil
These results provide an in-depth understanding of the water quality in the Kojjiriguda village, aiding in the formulation of necessary measures for improvement if required.
