VJNNS-APF-GFWSS-Inauguration ceremony at Lingeti village on 24-06-2025

Inauguration of GFWSS at Lingeti Village, Pedabayalu Mandal Today, I had the opportunity to facilitate the inauguration ceremony of the Gravity-Fed Water Supply System (GFWSS) at Lingeti village, which has been assigned to me under the Spring Shed Project in Pedabayalu Mandal. During the event, I addressed the gathering on several important topics to raise awareness among the community: The importance of safe and sustainable water for daily life and health. The Five Principles of Water Security, emphasizing community ownership, conservation, equitable distribution, regular maintenance, and sustainability. The necessity of water fund collection to support regular maintenance and system upkeep. I also suggested improvements, including arranging filter media for water purification and burying the delivery pipe for better protection and durability. I encouraged the community members and water committee to participate in the upcoming Post-Construction Training to be held on 25th at Maddigaruvu, which will further strengthen their knowledge on operating and maintaining the system. We were also joined by Mr. Sathyanarayana, VRO from Lingeti Sachivalayam, whose presence and support added value to the event. This inauguration marks a major step forward for the village in ensuring clean, accessible, and sustainable drinking water for all.
